We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to provide the advice you have asked for, and where relevant to introduce you to a licensed insolvency practitioner with your agreement. We also keep records of the advice we have given so that we can deal with your case properly over time.

Our lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and advising clients, and on the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you. Where we send you information you have specifically asked to receive, we rely on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time.

Confidentiality and sharing

Enquiries are treated as confidential. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with creditors, lenders or HMRC. We will only share your details with a third party, such as a licensed insolvency practitioner or another professional adviser, where you have asked us to, or where the law requires it. Some information is processed on our behalf by service providers who host our website and handle our enquiry system, under terms that require them to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and case records for as long as needed to advise you and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it.
